Summary:

Ashewa Technology, a leading provider of innovative digital solutions in Africa, seeks a passionate and energetic Head of Products to lead our growing product portfolio. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and go-to-market success of our existing suite of 10+ digital solutions, including ERP systems, website creation tools, e-commerce platforms, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Product Vision & Strategy:
• Develop a comprehensive product vision and roadmap that aligns with Ashewa's overall business goals and addresses the evolving needs of the African market.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation across our product portfolio.
• Prioritize product development efforts and allocate resources effectively to maximize impact.
• Product Management Excellence:
• Lead a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision making.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle for each solution, from ideation and user research to development, launch, and ongoing improvement.
• Champion user-centricity by ensuring products are designed and built to address the specific needs and challenges of African businesses.
• Product Growth & Expansion:
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive product adoption and user base growth for all Ashewa solutions.
• Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless product experience across the customer journey.
• Identify and evaluate potential M&A or partnership opportunities to expand the product portfolio strategically.
• Metrics & Performance:
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of each product and the overall product portfolio.
• Analyze usage data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and iterate on product features and functionalities.
• Stay informed of industry trends and adapt products to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of leading successful product development initiatives.
• Experience leading and managing a product management team.
• In-depth understanding of product strategy, market, user experience (UX) principles, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Deep understanding of the African technology landscape and a passion for creating impactful digital solutions for the continent.
• Experience working with a multi-product portfolio and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Fluency in English and Amharic (highly preferred).
