Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Media Relations and Campaign Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Media Relations and Campaign Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing media strategies, managing public relations campaigns, and driving successful media outreach initiatives for our smart SAAS, software, and e-commerce company. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing brand visibility and growing our company's reputation in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Media Relations:
- Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media professionals and journalists to ensure excellent media coverage.
- Proactively pitch compelling stories and news angles to relevant media outlets, securing regular coverage in target publications and platforms.
- Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other media materials to increase brand awareness and promote new product launches, features, or updates.
- Monitor media coverage and provide analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate media interviews, prepare spokespeople, and serve as the company's media spokesperson when required.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for thought leadership and industry expert positioning through op-eds, contributed articles, and guest speaking engagements.
Public Relations Campaign Management:
- Manage end-to-end execution of public relations campaigns, ensuring all objectives are met within defined timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Product, and Sales to develop campaign messaging, content, and visuals.
- Coordinate press events, product launches, and media briefings to maximize media exposure and generate positive coverage.
- Monitor and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Track and evaluate the success of public relations campaigns, generating reports to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI).
Content Creation and Communication:
- Develop engaging and impactful press releases, news articles, and blog posts for external communication.
- Craft key messages and talking points for media interviews and public speaking engagements.
- Create compelling storytelling materials, including case studies and success stories, to support media relations efforts.
- Collaborate with the Content Marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in media relations, public relations, or related roles with a focus on technology, SAAS, software, or ecommerce industries.
- Strong network of media contacts and ability to build relationships with key influencers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive materials and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and drive results.
- Proficiency in using media monitoring tools and analytics platforms to track and evaluate media coverage.
- Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing concepts to optimize media content for search engines and online visibility.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
